    Mariner Capital Advisors (“MCA”), a part of Mariner Wealth Advisors, is a boutique investment bank headquartered near Kansas City and founded in 2002. MCA specializes in merger and acquisition advisory and valuation advisory services to lower middle-market companies and their advisors.


    MCA is currently searching for a Financial Analyst with a desire to work in an entrepreneurial and growth-oriented organization. This person would be part of a small team that provides investment banking and financial services to companies across the U.S. The Financial Analyst provides critical support to the firm’s engagements.


    • Manage valuation engagements
    • Financial statement and valuation analyses
    • Company and industry research
    • Draft valuation reports
    • Create confidential information memorandums and pitch books
    • Research buyers/targets and make preliminary buyer/target lists
    • Support due diligence activities
    • Review legal documents for transactions
    • Assist with project generation and development
    • Perform miscellaneous infrastructure projects


    • An undergraduate degree in either finance or accounting from an accredited university
    • Exceptional work ethic that can accommodate a demanding profession
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
    • Background in financial statement analysis and valuation methodologies, preferred
    • Experience in working on Quality of Earnings reports, preferred
