    Mariner Wealth Advisors is seeking candidates for a full-time Tax Associate position in our New York City office. The Tax Associate is responsible for the administration of client services as it pertains to client interaction and management of accounts. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in building client relationships and providing both wealth management and tax services.

    Responsibilities

    • Review tax returns, quarterly and annual income tax projections, estimated tax vouchers, extension forms and all related work papers
    • Prepare personal, Fiduciary, S-Corporation, partnership, private foundation, and gift tax returns
    • Service clients as it relates to planning, projects and compliance requirements
    • Support efforts to retain and build client relationships
    • Assist Senior Advisors in providing comprehensive wealth management and financial planning advice to clients
    • Review financial records such as income statements and balance sheets, etc.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree required – accounting degree preferred
    • 3+years’ experience in tax preparation preferred
    • Excellent client service orientation; strong personal and work ethics
    • Reliable to the confidentiality of client matters
    • Creative problem solving, research skills
    • Able to manage conflicting priorities, deadline-based tasks and simultaneous projects
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel
    • Clear communicator with strong interpersonal writing/verbal skills
    • Detail oriented, excellent organizational and analytical skills
    • High degree of client service to both internal and external customers
    • Self-starter, highly motivated to personal growth and development
    • Ability to work in a team while maintaining a high level of responsibility and accountability to individual projects and tasks
