    Mariner Capital Advisors (“MCA”), a Mariner Holdings’ company, is a boutique investment bank headquartered near Kansas City and founded in 2002. MCA specializes in merger and acquisition advisory and valuation advisory services to lower middle-market companies and their advisors.


    MCA is currently searching for an M&A Vice President with a desire to work in an entrepreneurial and growth-oriented organization. This person would be part of a small team that provides investment banking and financial services to companies across the U.S.


    M&A Vice President provides critical support to the firm’s engagements, reporting directly to the firm’s Managing Directors while overseeing associates and analysts.


    • Ensure all client deliverables and analyses are accurate, professional, and meet both client and firm standards
    • Manage internal and external execution of transactions including sell-side M&A advisory, buy-side M&A advisory, debt and equity capital raising transactions for companies across a variety of industries
    • Develop deal execution strategy and navigate deal obstacles to achieve client objectives
    • Oversee and delegate to associates and analysts
    • Maintain client relations during deal execution
    • Assist and/or lead client pitches and interactions
    • Build client relationships and develop relationship network


    • 5+ years investing banking experience with a reputable investment bank
    • 5+ years of M&A transaction experience
    • Strong client management skills
    • Transaction supervisory / management experience
    • Exceptional work ethic that can accommodate a demanding profession
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task
    • Good team player with the ability to work under pressure
    • 4-year degree from an accredited university
    • Series 63 and 79 (or comparable)
