    We are hiring a Client Services Associate for our St. Louis office.  The Client Service Associate is responsible for the administration of client services as it pertains to client interaction and management of accounts.  This includes responsibility for the administrative duties for the assigned team.  

    Responsibilities

    • Manage new client implementation process
    • Build and maintain client relationships aimed at client retention
    • Coordinate and direct client activities with other team members and assist as necessary
    • Maintain up-to-date familiarity of industry trends that affect the investment market
    • Understands the client’s organization and procedures
    • Understand the client’s overall business needs and identify value-added services that Mariner Wealth Advisors can provide
    • Maintain client paper files and electronic data files in a timely manner
    • Compile quarterly asset values for billing, journals, transfers, invoicing, annuity fees, commission fees, and collection consulting fees
    • Track client cost basis
    • Coordinate and schedule appointments
    • Responsible for the day-to-day administrative duties of the office, including but not limited to: marketing, accounts payables, and receivables
    • Adhere to ethics and employee code of conduct policies and, as appropriate, communicate the same to subordinates
    • Monitor all activities for evidence of fraud
    • Review activities within the job scope for sufficient controls to prevent errors and misstatements of financial results
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma required
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • 2-3 years of investment experience a plus
    • Internship experience a plus, preferably in financial service/client service, but will consider college graduates with interest in a career in Financial Planning
    • Positive attitude toward client relations to provide exceptional client service
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to effective client relationships
    • Technical knowledge of investment industry to include contract provisions and renewal processing
    • The ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain the necessary attention to detail
    • Ability to organize time and perform tasks with minimal direction
    • Highly organized with strong analytical skills
    • Deadline oriented
    • Strong PC proficiency on various products including MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel and MS Outlook
    • Experience using financial planning software a plus
    • Able to manage time effectively and multi-task
    • Able to work in a team environment
    • CFP designation a plus
