We are seeking a Vice President, Regional Sales in the East to drive execution of our firm wide business development strategy for organic growth.  This leadership role is instrumental in leading and developing Mariner’s Senior Wealth Consultants, who cover Mariner’s Referral Program Partners (RPP), to achieve their individual goals for new client opportunities.


  • Support market growth and achievement of revenue and profitability goals
  • Lead, develop, and coach the Senior Wealth Consultants and drive accountability for sales activity and achievement of goals
  • Develop and execute the best possible go-to-market business development strategies with the wealth teams in our locations throughout the east
  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization including our Executive Committee, Managing Partners, Senior Wealth Advisors, and Senior Wealth Consultants
  • Accountable to both Mariner Executive Committee and our leaders in executing an organic growth strategy in the markets we serve throughout the United States
  • Promote and protect Mariner’s culture of service to others while putting our clients’ interests first
  • Develop and execute target-client-niche and client-segment business development strategies and marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with marketing to generate lead flow and realize new client revenue opportunities
  • Develop strategic referral partner relationships in the east markets
  • Build and implement a system of ongoing coaching and development of our Senior Wealth Consultants
  • Enable the Senior Wealth Consultants to meet their goals by serving as a valuable resource for best practices, opportunity assessment and new business realization
  • Define and assist in creating a digital client development process and experience to our offering
  • Leverage community relations with business and community leaders to generate leads and facilitate introductions
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to drive new business
  • Travel 50%+


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field from an accredited college or university
  • CFP preferred
  • 10 years of experience in business development and sales management
  • Demonstrated success achieving corporate and individual growth goals or sales targets
  • Experience with high net worth clients and client segmentation strategies is beneficial but not required
  • Experience managing sales professionals across several geographical regions, which includes accountability, coaching, supervision, and professional development
  • Experience with metrics-based business development performance measures
  • Experience with enterprise wide utilization of CRM and other technology-based tools to drive an efficient and functional national sales team
