As a result of significant growth, we are hiring a Client Service Associate to join our office in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. The Client Service Associate is responsible for the administration of client services as it pertains to client interaction and management of accounts as well as supporting a team of CFPs.  The position can grow into an advisory role for the right candidate.


  • Responsible for the day-to-day professional support duties of the office, including but not limited to: client outreach, financial plan writing, marketing and other team projects
  • Manage new client implementation process
  • Prep and follow up client financial planning meetings to support the advisor
  • Build and maintain client relationships aimed at client retention
  • Coordinate and direct client activities with other team members and assist as necessary
  • Maintain up-to-date familiarity of industry trends that affect the investment market
  • Understands the client’s organization and procedures
  • Understand the client’s overall business needs and identify value-added services that Mariner Wealth Advisors can provide
  • Maintain client paper files and electronic data files in a timely manner
  • Track client cost basis, asset transfers and review performance reports
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments for client annual planning meetings
  • Adhere to ethics and employee code of conduct policies and, as appropriate, communicate the same to subordinates
  • Monitor all activities for evidence of fraud
  • Review activities within the job scope for sufficient controls to prevent errors and misstatements of financial results
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Enrolled in the CFP coursework or holds the CFP designation
  • Internship experience a plus, preferably in financial service/client service, but will consider college graduates with finance degrees and an interest in a career in Financial Planning
  • Positive attitude toward client and team relations to provide exceptional client service
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to effective client relationships
  • Technical knowledge of investment industry to include contract provisions and renewal processing
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain the necessary attention to detail
  • Ability to organize time and perform tasks with minimal direction
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
  • Deadline oriented
  • Strong PC proficiency on various products including MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Working knowledge of CRM software preferred
  • Able to manage time effectively and multi-task
  • Able to work in a team environment
